During the 89th Academy Awards Show, a series of branded content commissioned by Walmart aired, featuring shorts directed by Antoine Fuqua (The Magnificent Seven), Marc Forster (Monster’s Ball, World War Z), and Seth Rogen and his partner Evan Goldberg (The Interview). The shorts are based around the concept that “every receipt tells a story.” Each filmmaker was tasked to create a short centered on the same items listed on a single receipt.
