It’s no secret that revered director David Lynch is also a talented musician. While fans are still awaiting the revival of Twin Peaks to begin airing, Lynch has written and produced singer Chrysta Bell‘s latest EP, Somewhere in the Nowhere.

Lynch and Bell are frequent collaborators: Lynch wrote and produced This Train, Bell’s debut album, she was featured on the Inland Empire (2007) soundtrack, and Bell has also performed at the David Lynch Foundation concert in Los Angeles last year.

Lynch remarks, “The first time I saw her perform, I thought she was like an alien. The most beautiful alien ever.” He adds that she is “not only a killer performer, [but] she also has a great intuitive ability to catch a mood and find a melody that’s really spectacular.”

Chrysta is also part of the revived Twin Peaks cast. The 2017 reboot will air on Showtime, with all episodes directed by Lynch.
