John Ridley’s LA Riots Documentary Gets a Release Date

The Let It Fall: Los Angeles 1982-1992 documentary is scheduled to air on ABC on Friday, April 28 from 9-11 PM. The two-hour film follows the LA riots in 1992, where city-wide lootings, arson, violence, and unrest took place after four LAPD officers were acquitted of use of excessive force in the Rodney King case despite videotaped evidence of his arrest and brutal beating at the hands of the officers. The premiere date marks the riots’ 25th anniversary. Let It Fall is from producer John Ridley, who wrote the script for 12 Years A Slave. Ridley later moved on to create ABC’s TV series American Crime, which is set to premiere its third season on March 12, 2017.
